पवित्र आत्मा

पवित्र आत्माचाहिँ परमेश्वरका आत्मालाई जनाउने शब्द हो ।

पवित्र आत्माचाहिँ परमेश्वरका आत्मालाई जनाउने शब्द हो । बाइबलमा उत्पत्तिको पहिलो अध्यायको सुरुमै यो शब्द आएको छ । “परमेश्वरका आत्मा पानीमाथि परिभ्रमण गर्दैरहनुहुन्थ्यो” (उत्पत्ति १:२) भनिएको छ । यहाँ पवित्र आत्माचाहिँ ‘परमेश्वरका आत्मा’ हुनुहुन्छ । ईश्वर वा आत्मा भन्ने अर्थ बोकेको हिब्रू शब्द रूआख(רוּחַ),लाई नयाँ करारको ग्रीक भाषामा निउमा (πνεῦμα) भनेर लेखिएको छ । रुआख र निउमाले बतास, सास र श्वास-प्रश्वासलाई पनि जनाउँछ ।

पवित्र आत्मा भनेको के हो ?

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God who prays and grieves for the saints. He is not an intangible, active force. According to the Trinity, He is God the Father and God the Son. In other words, He is in very nature God. From the beginning until now, He has always worked with the people of God throughout the ages and came in the flesh as Jesus 2,000 years ago. When Christians receive the power of the gospel from God, they say that they have “received the Holy Spirit.” The Bible prophesies that the Spirit will appear in the last days and give mankind the water of life.

पवित्र आत्माचाहिँ सन्तहरूका निम्ति प्रार्थना गरिदिने र शोक गर्ने परमेश्वरका आत्मा हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँ कुनै अमूर्त बाह्य शक्ति हुनुहुन्न । त्रिएकअनुसार, उहाँ पिता परमेश्वर र पुत्र परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ । अर्को शब्दमा भन्नुपर्दा, उहाँ मूलभूल रूपमा परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ । सुरुदेखि अहिलेसम्म उहाँले प्रत्येक युगमा परमेश्वरका प्रजासँग कार्य गर्नुभयो र २,००० वर्षअघि येशू नाउँ लिएर शरीरमा आउनुभयो । ख्रीष्टियानहरूले परमेश्वरबाट सुसमाचारको शक्ति प्राप्त गर्दा “पवित्र आत्मा पाएँ’ भन्ने गर्छन् । बाइबलमा पछिल्ला दिनहरूमा पवित्र आत्मा देखा पर्नुभएर मानव-जातिलाई जीवनको पानी दिनुहुनेछ भनेर अगमवाणी गरिएको छ ।

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. God and His Spirit are not different from each other, but the same. It is because God is Spirit by nature.

पवित्र आत्माचाहिँ परमेश्वरका आत्मा हुनुहुन्छ । परमेश्वर र उहाँको आत्मा फरक-फरक नभएर एकै हुनुहुन्छ । कारण परमेश्वर आत्मा हुनुहुन्छ ।

As we ourselves have a spirit within us that can fully understand our thoughts, the Spirit searches the thoughts and even the deep things of God. This is because He is God Himself. This would be impossible if the Holy Spirit were a separate being from God. It is because no one knows the thoughts of God except God.

हाम्रो आत्माले हाम्रा विचारहरूलाई पूर्ण रूपमा बुझ्न सकेजस्तै पवित्र आत्माले पनि परमेश्वरका विचारहरू र गहिरा-गहिरा कुराहरूको खोजी गर्नुहुन्छ । कारण पवित्र आत्मा नै स्वयम् परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ । यदि पवित्र आत्माचाहिँ परमेश्वरभन्दा अलग अस्तित्व हुनुभएको भए यो सम्भव हुनेथिएन । किनभने परमेश्वरका विचारहरू पनि परमेश्वरबाहेक अरू कसैले जान्न सक्दैन ।

पवित्र आत्मा र पुत्र परमेश्वर एकै हुनुहुन्छ

The Old Testament prophesied that God the Father would come to this earth in the flesh, being born as a son. According to the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus fulfilled this prophecy and was conceived through the Holy Spirit. This means that God the Father and God the Son are the same, and that God the Father and the Holy Spirit are the same, and that Jesus is the Holy Spirit Himself. There are many places in the Bible that show that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the same.

पिता परमेश्वर पुत्रको रूपमा जन्मनुभएर यो पृथ्वीमा शरीर धारण गरी आउनुहुनेछ भनेर पुरानो करार बाइबलमा अगमवाणी गरिएको थियो । मत्तीको सुसमाचारका अनुसार येशूज्यूले पवित्र आत्माद्वारा जन्मनुभएर यो अगमवाणी पूरा गर्नुभयो । योद्वारा पिता परमेश्वर र पुत्र परमेश्वर, अनि पिता परमेश्वर र पवित्र आत्मा, त्यसै गरी येशूज्यू र पवित्र आत्मा एकै हुनुहुन्छ भन्ने कुरा बुझिन्छ । बाइबलका थुप्रै ठाउँहरूमा येशूज्यू र पवित्र आत्मा एकै हुनुहुन्छ भन्ने अभिलेख पाउन सकिन्छ ।

• Apostle Paul wrote that the Holy Spirit prayed for the saints, and he also wrote that Jesus prayed for the saints.
• पवित्र आत्माले सन्तहरूका निम्ति प्रार्थना गर्नुभएको, र येशूज्यूले पनि सन्तहरूका निम्ति प्रार्थना गर्नुभएको भनेर प्रेरित पावलले लेखेका छन् ।

• Apostle Peter said that the Bible was written by men being carried along by the Holy Spirit, and he also wrote that prophets were moved by the Spirit of Christ.

• The Bible also records what the Spirit does as being done by Jesus or the Spirit of Jesus.

Through these words, we can understand that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one and the same.

यो वचनद्वारा येशूज्यू र पवित्र आत्मा एकै हुनुहुन्छ भन्ने यथार्थता जान्न सकिन्छ ।

The Holy Spirit also refers to the Second Coming Christ, the Savior in the Age of the Holy Spirit. There are many Bible verses that prove this.

पवित्र आत्माले चाहिँ पवित्र आत्माको युगका मुक्तिदाता, दोस्रो आगमनका ख्रीष्टलाई पनि सङ्केत गर्दछ । यो कुरालाई प्रमाणित गर्ने पदहरू बाइबलमा धेरै छन् ।

• The name of the Holy Spirit was mentioned along with the name of the Father, who was the Savior in the Age of the Father, and the name of the Son, who was the Savior in the Age of the Son. This means that the name of the Holy Spirit is the name of the Savior in the Age of the Holy Spirit.
• पिताको युगका मुक्तिदाता हुनुभएको नाउँ, र पुत्रको युगका मुक्तिदाताको नाउँसँगै पवित्र आत्माको नाउँ पनि उल्लेख गरिएको छ । यो नै पवित्र आत्माको युगका मुक्तिदाताको नाउँ नै पवित्र आत्माको नाउँ हो भन्ने अर्थ हो ।

In the book of Revelation, the name of the Holy Spirit is prophesied as the new name of Jesus. Therefore, the “Holy Spirit” in Matthew 28:19 refers to Second Coming Christ who is the Savior in the Age of the Holy Spirit.

प्रकाशको पुस्तकमा पवित्र आत्माको नाउँलाई येशूज्यूको नयाँ नाउँ भनेर अगमवाणी गरिएको छ । तसर्थ मत्ती २८:१९मा उल्लेखित ‘पवित्र आत्मा’ले पवित्र आत्माको युगका मुक्तिदाता हुनुभएका दोस्रो आगमनका ख्रीष्टलाई जनाउँछ ।

• In Revelation 19, there is a prophecy that the Lamb and His wife will appear and hold a wedding banquet in the last days.
• प्रकाश अध्याय १९मा पछिल्ला दिनहरूमा थुमा र उहाँकी पत्नी विवाह-भोजमा देखा पर्नुहुनेछ भनेर अगमवाणी गरिएको छ ।

हामी रमाऔं र अत्यन्त खुशी होऔं, र उहाँलाई महिमा दिऔं ! किनकि थुमाका विवाहको दिन आएको छ, र उहाँकी दुलही स्वयम् तयार भएकी छिन् । ... अनि ती स्वर्गदूतले मलाई भने, “यो लेख, थुमाका विवाहको भोजमा निमन्त्रणा पाउनेहरू धन्यका हुन् ।” तिनले फेरि मलाई भने, “परमेश्वरका सत्य वचनहरू यी नै हुन् ।”

The “Lamb” refers to Jesus. In this verse, the Lamb refers to Second Coming Jesus because He appears with the Bride; Jesus did not appear with the Bride at His first coming. However, in the same book, it is prophesied that “the Spirit and the Bride” will appear and give mankind the water of life. This means that Second Coming Jesus is the Holy Spirit.

‘थुमा’ले येशूज्यूलाई जनाउँछ । यो वचनमा, दुलहीसँगै देखा पर्नुहुने थुमाले दोस्रो आगमनका येशूज्यूलाई जनाउँदछ । किनभने पहिलो आगमनको समयमा येशूज्यूको साथमा दुलही देखा पर्नुभएको थिएन । तर उही पुस्तकमा ‘पवित्र आत्मा र दुलही’ देखा पर्नुभएर मानव-जातिलाई जीवनको पानी दिनुहुनेछ भनेर अगमवाणी गरिएको छ । अर्थात् दोस्रो आगमनका येशूज्यू नै पवित्र आत्मा हुनुहुन्छ भन्ने कुरा हो ।

पवित्र आत्मा र दुलही भन्नुहुन्छ, “आउनुहोस् ।” जसले सुन्छ त्यसले भनोस्, “आउनुहोस् ।” जो तिर्खाउँछ त्यो आओस्, जसले इच्छा गर्छ त्यसले जीवनको पानी सित्तैँमा लिओस् ।

• In regard to His second coming, Jesus also said that He would send the Counselor with a different name.
• येशूज्यूले, उहाँको दोस्रो आगमनमा पिताले फरक नाउँ गरेको अर्को सल्लाहकार दिनुहुनेछ भन्नुभयो ।

Jesus said that He would send the Counselor, and that He Himself would come. This means that He would come again as the Counselor. In the Bible, the “Counselor” indicates the Holy Spirit. Through these words, we can see that Jesus, who comes a second time, is the Holy Spirit.

येशूज्यूले “म सल्लाहकार पठाउनेछु” भन्नुभयो, र “म तिमीहरूकहाँ आउनेछु” पनि भन्नुभयो । अर्थात् उहाँ स्वयम् सल्लाहकारको रूपमा फेरि आउनुहुनेछ भन्ने वचन हो । बाइबलमा ‘सल्लाहकार’ले पवित्र आत्मालाई जनाउँछ । तसर्थ दोस्रो आगमनका येशूज्यू नै पवित्र आत्मा हुनुहुन्छ भन्ने कुरा यो

के पवित्र आत्मा भनेको कुनै विद्युतीय तरङ्ग वा ऊर्जा जस्तै सक्रिय शक्ति हो ?

Some insist that the Holy Spirit is simply some active force or energy of God; however, the Bible clearly says that the Holy Spirit has thoughts and emotions.

कसै-कसैले पवित्र आत्माचाहिँ केवल परमेश्वरको सक्रिय शक्ति हो भन्दै जिद्दी गर्ने गर्छन् । तर बाइबलमा पवित्र आत्मामा विचार र भावना छ भनेर स्पष्टसित लेखिएको छ ।

	वर्णन :	विचार र भावना भएकाहरूले मात्र सुस्केरा हाल्न सक्छन् । हाम्रो निम्ति प्रार्थना गर्नु भनेको उहाँले सन्तहरूको कठिनाइ बुझ्नुहुन्छ, उहाँ विचारशील हुनुहुन्छ र उहाँमा सोच्ने शक्ति छ भन्ने अर्थ हो । पवित्र आत्माको ‘विचार’ भन्ने शब्दले पनि यो कुरालाई समर्थन गर्दछ ।
उहाँ सन्तहरूसँग बोल्नुहुन्छ ।	पद	तब पवित्र आत्माले फिलिपलाई भन्नुभयो, “जाऊ र त्यस रथको साथ लाग” (प्रेरित ८:२९) । जब पत्रुस दर्शनको विषयमा विचार गरिरहेका थिए तब पवित्र आत्माले तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “हेर, तीन जना मानिसले तिमीलाई खोज्दैछन् । उठ, र तल जाऊ, र नहिचकिचाईकन तिनीहरूका साथ लाग, किनभने तिनीहरूलाई मैले पठाएको हुँ ।” (प्रेरित १०:१९-२०)
	वर्णन :	फिलिप र पत्रुसलाई यसो गर्नू भनेर भन्ने व्यक्ति नै पवित्र आत्मा हुनुहुन्थ्यो । योद्वारा, पवित्र आत्माले विचार गर्नुभएर व्यक्त गर्न सक्नुहुन्छ भन्ने कुरा बुझ्न सकिन्छ ।

के स्वर्गदूतहरूले पवित्र आत्माको भूमिका निर्वाह गर्छन् ?

Some people say that there is no difference between angels and the Holy Spirit or that angels function as the Holy Spirit. When we look inside the Bible, however, we can see that there is a great difference between angels and the Holy Spirit.

कतिपय मानिसहरूले स्वर्गदूत र पवित्र आत्माबीच केही भिन्नता छैन, र स्वर्गदूतहरूले पनि पवित्र आत्माको भूमिका निभाउँछन् भनेर भन्छन् । तर वास्तवमा स्वर्गदूत र पवित्र आत्माबीच ठूलो भिन्नता छ ।

• In the Bible, angels are described in the plural form and the Spirit is described in the singular.
• बाइबलमा स्वर्गदूतहरूलाई बहुवचनमा र पवित्र आत्मालाई एकवचनमा व्यक्त गरिएको छ ।

• Angels can rebel against God and be thrown into hell. In the Bible, it also says that the saved people can judge angels. There are no records that say the Spirit is sentenced to judgment.
• स्वर्गदूतहरू परमेश्वरविरुद्ध विद्रोह गरेर नरकमा फ्याँकिन सक्छन् । त्यसैले बाइबलमा, उद्धार पाएकाहरूले स्वर्गदूतहरूलाई पनि इन्साफ गर्न सक्छन् भनिएको छ । पवित्र आत्माको इन्साफ भयो भन्ने अभिलेख बाइबलमा कहीँ पनि छैन ।
• It is written that angels long to look into the gospel preached by those who are moved by the Holy Spirit. This means that angels do not know the mysterious administration of God; however, the Spirit searches all things―even the deep things of God.
• पवित्र आत्माको प्रेरणा पाएकाहरूले गर्ने सुसमाचारलाई हेर्न स्वर्गदूतहरू पनि उत्सुक हुन्छन् भनेर लेखिएको छ । यसबाट, स्वर्गदूतहरूलाई परमेश्वरको रहस्यमय प्रबन्ध थाहा हुँदैन भन्ने कुरा बुझिन्छ । तर पवित्र आत्माले चाहिँ परमेश्वरका गहिरा-गहिरा कुराहरू समेत खोजी गर्नुहुन्छ ।

के अन्य भाषामा बोल्नु नै पवित्र आत्मा पाएको प्रमाण हो ?

First, we need to understand what it means to receive the Holy Spirit. In this context, the Holy Spirit does not refer to God who is in spirit but the Holy Spirit as a gift. The power of the Holy Spirit is displayed through those whom the Spirit is with. Such power or talent is called the gift of the Holy Spirit which is given through His grace. Receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit is often expressed as receiving the Holy Spirit. The reason people misunderstand that the Holy Spirit is some kind of energy of God or an electric wave is because they do not properly distinguish the Holy Spirit from the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Some insist that we must speak in tongues as proof of having received the Holy Spirit (or proof of having received the gifts of the Holy Spirit). In the book of Acts, there is a record about the apostles who kept the Day of Pentecost, were filled with the Holy Spirit, and preached the gospel in different tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Through the Bible, we can understand that speaking in tongues is not the only gift that the Holy Spirit grants. Although there is one Holy Spirit, there are many different kinds of gifts of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, speaking in tongues cannot be the only proof of having received the Holy Spirit.
सर्वप्रथम पवित्र आत्मा पाउनु भनेको के हो भन्ने कुरा हामीले बुझ्नुपर्छ । यस सन्दर्भमा पवित्र आत्माले, ‘आत्मामा रहनुभएका परमेश्वर’लाई होइन तर ‘वरदान रहेको पवित्र आत्मा’लाई जनाउँदछ । जसको साथमा पवित्र आत्मा हुनुहुन्छ, तिनै मानिसहरूद्वारा पवित्र आत्माको शक्ति प्रकट हुन्छ । परमेश्वरको यस्तो अनुग्रहद्वारा प्रदान गरिने शक्ति वा प्रतिभालाई नै पवित्र आत्माको वरदान भनिन्छ । पवित्र आत्माको वरदान प्राप्त गर्ने कुरालाई पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त गर्ने कुराद्वारा अभिव्यक्त गरिएको छ । मानिसहरूले पवित्र आत्मालाई परमेश्वरको कुनै ऊर्जा अथवा विद्युतीय तरङ्ग भनेर गलत तरिकाले सोच्नुको कारणचाहिँ तिनीहरूलाई पवित्र आत्मा र पवित्र आत्माको वरदानबीचको खास भिन्नाताबारे थाहा नभएकोले हो । कसै-कसैले हामीले अन्य भाषा बोल्न सक्नु नै पवित्र आत्मा (अथवा पवित्र आत्माको वरदान) पाएको कुराको प्रमाण हो भन्दै जिद्दी गर्ने गर्छन् । प्रेरितको पुस्तकमा, पेन्तिकोसको दिन मानेका प्रेरितहरू पवित्र आत्माले भरिए र पवित्र आत्माले दिनुभएको उच्चारणबमोजिम उनीहरूले अन्य भाषाहरूमा सुसमाचार प्रचार गरे भनेर लेखिएको छ । वास्तवमा अन्य भाषामा बोल्नु मात्र पवित्र आत्माको वरदान होइन भन्ने कुरा हामी बाइबलद्वारा जान्न सक्छौं । पवित्र आत्मा एक जना मात्र हुनुभए तापनि पवित्र आत्माका वरदानहरूचाहिँ अनेक किसिमका हुन्छन् । यसकारण अन्य भाषामा बोल्न सक्ने नै पवित्र आत्मा पाएको कुराको एकमात्र प्रमाण हुन सक्दैन ।

The power of the Holy Spirit is displayed through those who are with the Holy Spirit, and the amazing work of salvation takes place through them. In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit came to specific people such as a judge or a prophet, and gave them the power to solve problems or prophesy. In the New Testament, however, the power of the Holy Spirit came upon all the disciples who devoted themselves to prayer. This means that the time came for the Holy Spirit to work through all who were purified by the blood of Christ.

The Work of the Holy Spirit in the Time of the Early Church

Before ascending to heaven, Jesus said, “Until the Holy Spirit comes, do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard Me speak about.” Following the words of Christ, they gathered in Jerusalem, joining together in prayer.
On the fiftieth day after Jesus’ resurrection, suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. The power of the Holy Spirit descended upon them, which gave them the ability to speak in different languages.
The disciples, who were clothed with the power of the Holy Spirit, preached the gospel in languages they did not know. In one day, after hearing about the gospel in their native tongues, 3,000 people repented and were baptized. As the number of people who believed in Jesus increased every day, the leaders of Judaism threatened and imprisoned the apostles. Rather than giving in to persecution, the apostles preached God’s word more boldly with one mind and the gospel spread throughout the world.

Prophecy About the Holy Spirit of the Latter Rain

The Bible prophesied that in the Age of the Holy Spirit, the work of the Holy Spirit would take place and would be seven times greater than that of the early Church.

• At the time of Jesus’ first coming, the grace of the Holy Spirit was bestowed upon those who believed in Jesus and received Him. In the Age of the Holy Spirit, those who receive and believe in the Spirit and the Bride can receive the Holy Spirit. This is because the knowledge of God is the prerequisite for receiving the Holy Spirit of the latter rain.

“Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”

Hosea 6:3

• The prophet Zechariah prophesied that God would pour out the Holy Spirit of the latter rain, and explained how to receive the Holy Spirit.

Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, they will have no rain...

Zechariah 14:16–19

When we learn about the matters of the soul, we come to understand that we are sinners; however, if we are purified through the blood of Christ by keeping the feasts of the new covenant, our bodies become the temple of God where the Holy Spirit can dwell. It is prophesied that those who keep the Feast of Tabernacles will receive the Holy Spirit of the latter rain. To confirm this, Jesus preached in the temple every day during the Feast of Tabernacles and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit,” on the last day of the Feast.

• In conclusion, we must ask God to grant us the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ask the LORD for rain in the springtime; it is the LORD who makes the storm clouds. He gives showers of rain to men, and plants of the field to everyone.
